A Durham, North Carolina native, Cameron has an unshakable belief in the power of young people to change their world for the better & a passion for working with them to meaningfully co-create that change through the arts. Cameron studied Music Theatre at Elon University & performed professionally throughout the U.S. until answering the call to devote herself fully to social service. Cameron studied Theater Education, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her North Carolina K-12 Teaching License. For several years, she served as a teaching artist, director & choreographer at renowned institutions such as Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, Northwest School of the Arts and the Gilbert Theatre, working with students aged 3 to 18, as well as choreographing for university and professional theaters and performing companies across the southeast. In 2015, Cameron received her Master’s degree in Drama Therapy from New York University, running drama therapy groups for individuals and groups experiencing acute psychiatric distress and living with chronic mental health conditions. She found Move This World in 2013 and knew she had found a home.
